The Vision
We were approached by the owners of the Carey Residence to restore an early nineties swimming pool and its surrounds. Unsure of how to soften the space and introduce the desired resort style theme, our client turned to us to propose the best solution. It was up to our Perth landscaping design team to find the right balance of functionality and beauty, while complementing the existing architecture.
The Challenge
Poor construction methods throughout the swimming pool were discovered early on in the project. Working in collaboration with our professional partners, we devised an outcome that renewed the aesthetic of the swimming pool, making the space far more practical.
Given the existing barren and harsh environment, it was essential to get the right mix of hardscapes and softscapes to work in harmony with the organic shape of the pool and create a cooling effect. Premium hardscape construction materials and advanced tropical style plantings were used to create a high-end, resort style feel.
The Outcome
Our team transformed the space into an oasis that perfectly suits the needs of this time-poor family. Through the use of strategic landscape lighting, we created an intimate and relaxed destination that could be enjoyed by day or night.

- Honed exposed aggregate concrete

Overall, we refreshed this City Beach residence with a clean and simple, lush design that offers a low maintenance solution.
