The Vision
We were approached by the owners of this Floreat new build family home early on in the home’s design stage. With a young family, the outdoor areas called for a practical, yet stylish landscaping to include a pool area, fire pit area, kid’s lawn area, rear alfresco and functional front entry and triple driveway.
The Challenge
Coming in toward the end of an extensive home build, the clients were keen to get moved in and use their pool with the Xmas break coming up. The pool had already been installed before the home build which left limited access to the rear, so smaller machinery was necessary to prepare the areas and bring in fill. The entire asbestos boundary fencing was also removed and replaced with new colorbond to suit the new finished levels. Working to a tight deadline, the quality hard landscaping materials blended beautifully with the advanced planting and lawn areas.
The Outcome
Our Perth landscaping team transformed this house into an inviting and luxurious family home. Installation of low-voltage lighting created a functional and intimate feel, meaning it could be enjoyed in the day and night. Key design aspects included:
- Large feature letterbox including wrap-around steel faceplate with backlit street number
- Fire pit area with in-built seating
- Pool area with travertine and decking
- Feature stone clad water feature on pool edge
- Exposed aggregate driveway with travertine inlay and steppers to front entry
- Corten steel feature
