In May 2016, Revell completed a garden overhaul design and construction project to create a refreshing landscape that would compliment the rustic fifties styling of the Kensington home.
The key design criteria for this area was to integrate physical elements from the brick and tile style of the residence into a full makeover that was to provide a space for entertaining.
Almost everything was removed from the front, back and sides of this property, leaving a blank canvas that showcased the true size and potential of the area. The front of the property now features new boundary walls and sliding gates, and a structured carport to enhance the functionality of the area.
The split-level backyard has been completely transformed into a spacious retreat for the family to enjoy. The bottom level of the area features a spacious cedar lined patio and sandstone paving complete with tranquil water feature. The top level of this rustic space includes a rusted iron fire pit surrounded by limestone and wood seats – perfect for those twilight catch-ups.
To bring this beautiful new space together, native Australia plants were selected for their pops of colour including the red flowered bottlebrush. Contemporary lighting allows this outdoor sanctuary to convert from daytime to night time entertaining seamlessly.
